Encourage everyone to adorn their homes, public spaces, and businesses

VVRP, MEO AND AQUALECTRA THIS YEAR AGAIN WITH CAMPAIGN “CURAÇAO LETS LIFE THE END OF THE YEAR “

Willemstad December 3, 2023, Aqualectra, in collaboration with the Ministry of Traffic, Transportation, and Urban Planning, and the Ministry of Economic Development, proudly launches the "Curaçao Let's Live the End of the Year 2023" campaign. This exciting competition aims to inspire families, neighborhood groups, and businesses to decorate their homes, public spaces, and establishments during the holiday season, enhancing the island's end-of-year ambiance. Those eager to participate can submit their entries until December 12th by emailing communications@aqualectra.com with their name, decorated address, and telephone number.

From December 15 to 29, a panel of judges will assess and select the winning homes, public spaces, and businesses that have contributed significantly to the festive atmosphere. The Ministries of VVRP, MEO, and Aqualectra collectively urge everyone to contribute to the year-end ambiance and actively participate in beautifying our city.

Winners in each category will be awarded prizes. There are three participation categories: homes, public areas in neighborhoods, and businesses. Home category prizes include a first prize of Nafl. 1000,-, a second prize of Nafl. 750,-, and a third prize of Nafl. 500,-. The best-decorated public area will receive Nafl. 2,500,-, donated to a charitable organization of their choice. The most impactful business decoration will be recognized as the winner in its specific category.

It is essential to note that individuals or groups decorating their properties or public areas are responsible for ornaments, lights, and installation. Aqualectra will support by providing a connection to its grid for public area decorations.
